I've been buying these when they're discounted to pay for gas. Gift card payments qualify for their bonus e-ct cash/interac money offer (often 6x-12x or 2.4 - 4.8%) back. It takes on average an additional ~13% off gas (on top of whatever % you get back on your CC)

Anybody else doing this? Anyone know of issues with quality of cdn tire gas?

I usually buy about 1000 worth when they are on sale. I never had any issues with Can Tire gas or the gift card security. Hot deal IMO considering Can Tire money back from the gas station. Try to ask for a sealed pack of 10 behind the counter at SDM. Most of the time they are helpful if you are buying the entire pack of 10 or more.

This is what I do as well. I'm surprised that more people don't do this. As far as I know, no issue with Canadian Tire gas. Except that non ethanol gas is better than ethanol gas for mileage, performance, and engine life-span. But as far as I know, very few gas stations actually have non ethanol gas, so I don't worry about that too much, it's like a pipe dream.

I think a lot of us are doing this. I've been doing it for 15 years and I don't see any problems with the gas.

At the time of me writing this, CT gas (and most everyone else) popped up to 127.9 for regular and Costco gas is 109.4 (and typically stays low). Which would work out cheaper at this point? My brain hurts already.

I've noticed that 91 octane (super/supreme) gas usually do not contain ethanol. I try and fill up on promo days when 91 sells for about the price of 89 (plus grade), CT, Esso and Ultramar in QC, just in case ethanol is bad.

I've bought and used $1500 since March on the two gift card promotions of 10% off. Haven't had a card go wrong yet! Pretty decent deal. Seems like they are having these 3 or 4 times a year so don't drain all your cash for these thinking the deal will never come back. Buy what you will use for 4 months

In QC on Thursdays, the price for 91 octane
drops to roughly the price for 89 octane at Ultramar, Canadian Tire and Esso stations.

Having never bought gas from CT before -- whats the CTMoney return for using a GC at the gas bar? (If it varies from province to province, MB info would be appreciated!)

Depending on the return in CTMoney, combined with the 3% from PC for using their CC at Shoppers, this may end up being my way of keeping the car fuelled this winter (as opposed to the $0.09/L off I get at the Superstore pumps).
