This is 10% points back, which is better than nothing. But it's not as good as the 7500 pts for 50 (15%) back in April.

Thanks OP, would’ve spent the money on Netflix anyways so anything back is good.

That's true but a handful of us got screwed on the points.

Many stores carry $30 and $60 denominations, so for those who bought $60+$60+$30 only got 15,000 points instead of 22,500. Looks like they adjusted it this time around.

Thanks OP, any discount on Netflix is a good deal. However, my Netflix subscription is $3.60 CDN a month so it'll take a while to use up $60.

How is your Netflix subscription that cheap?

This thread best describes the steps:

netflix-netflix-basic-only-3-96-month-v ... d-2266421/

Cancelled my normal Netflix subscription and used my VPN to renew on Netflix Turkey. I pay with my Scotia Amex Gold which has no foreign transaction fees. Only have the Netflix basic package. My statements every month shows a charge of $3.60 CDN.

I wish this was live in BC. I need to buy something for my 100k pt promo and Netflix is my regular monthly expense anyhow.

Can you use GC's purchased in Canada against this account? Even though it's denominated in Turkish currency?

I believe it is. Saw it in the flyers in store and just purchased one.
I did get charged tax of $4.2 on the gift card. Probably due to this https://globalnews.ca/news/6566185/bc-p ... platforms/
Hopefully Netflix doesn't apply another tax on top.

According to this reddit thread:
https://www.reddit.com/r/NetflixViaVPN/ ... urce=share

If you subscribed to Netflix Turkey and you want to use a Netflix giftcard you need to pay with a Turkish Netflix giftcard.

I never attempted using any type of Netflix giftcard before.

I tried this using VPN and Netflix doesnt accept my credit card. I think you must have a credit card with Turkish address.

This is the steps I followed:
newfbc wrote: 1. sign up for trial in your own country using CC you intend to keep using
2. cancel trial
3. when trial expires switch vpn to TK then log in and restart account

This worked for me.

Ron.
I dont think signing up for a brand new Netflix subscription with Netflix Turkey works anymore. You need to have an existing Netflix Canada subscription, cancel the subscription and use a VPN to renew under Netflix Turkey.

Hi there,

But that's illegal. it is a gift card to purchase the service (or for people that don't have a credit card) on the platform. That gift card isn't a "monthly" pass, it is a credit for the monthly pass...

Example, the PS Plus membership. If you buy the yearly passed, you should be charge tax, as it is a service. However, if you buy a gift card of 100$, it should have no tax, as it is a credit, but if you add it to your PSN account, it will add 100$ credit, but if you purchase the PS Plus, that is now a service, then you be charge tax on it and it will deduct from the credit on your account.

I don't know how BC is handling it, but that's clearly double charge...

You can just buy a membership directly from eBay for 50%. Haven't had any problems for the last 3 years.

When you log in and renew subscription with Netflix Turkey, they ask you for a phone number for text verification.

Yeah, I used my current (CDN) cell #. They texted me a 6 digit verification code. No issues!
