The best deal that Shoppers has to offer in that flyer is the $45 Dualshock 4 controllers.

A very nice deal for those that want a new one. I personally want one of the Crystal Red/Blue controllers though, and sadly I'll have to pay more for them elsewhere.

Such is life when you want something specific though.

And I think the 20x points is for beauty products only.

It's still a good deal if you get a personal 10x or 15x coupon on Saturday.

$100 gift card to buy groceries is still a good deal imo. Thing is, when do SDM ever carry consoles? The one's around me never do and I'm there at least once a week.

It's not a terrible deal. I think the going price at other stores is 500 right now. Personally, 400 is the max I'd pay for a PS4 Pro. I'm tempted. I just don't have an HDR tv and I don't want to have to go thru the hassle of selling my existing PS4.

Also note that I'm pretty sure the PS4 Pro does not come with any game, or at least not the ones in this deal.

I was at SDM buying a DS4 and the guy in front of me was buying a PS4 pro, they couldn't get the gift card promo to work so they just took $100 off after taxes. Might be worth asking about, YMMV.

hi.

is the ps4 pro worth the extra 100$? im not a serious gamer by any mean. i have the haier 55 4k tv with no HDR, so will it affect the gaming experience?

my last console was a ps3 and the tv was a 10 year old samsung with 1080i.

I've upgraded my PS4 to a PS4 Pro like a month ago; and same situation 55 4K tv with no HDR - not really a hard core gamer (well, not a hard core PS4 gamer - I do spend more time gaming than I think I should on PC, Mobile, and probably back to 3ds...)

I can't say I see major improvements, (I mean, on my case it was considerable, as I had the fat PS4, 500gb, 1st gen dualshock4...); gaming wise I can't really notice any major difference. BUT at that 100$ diff, I think I might consider PRO for "future-proof" reasons, I wouldn't be surprised if some games in the future would have a massive difference or even exclusive to Pro. Also upgradeability on TV as well.

From what I understand, the PS4 Pro difference has much more to do with HDR than it does with 4K. So if you don't have an HDR tv and don't plan on getting one, it's probably not worth it.

The Xbox One X on the other hand comes closer to fully utilizing 4K. But its game sizes are so ridiculously large (to download and take up on a hard drive) that you might not want it either.

The game sizes on xbox one X are not much bigger than ps4. There are only a few games with 4k textures that are large in size. Most downloads of third party games have a 5-10g day one update after installing from disk. Plus you can hook up an external hard drive.

I wouln't jump on a ps4 pro for 4k. It's hardware is just to weak. People are better off buying a ps4 and waiting for a ps5 or get an xbox one X for 4k gaming.
