[Shoppers Drug Mart] PS4 Pro - $99.99 when you redeem 200k PC Optimum Points (YMMV)

ps4 pro 200k shoppers points plus 100 plus 60.00 taxes
double redemption points 200k points make it 300 you pay 100.00 plus 60.00 taxes. and the ps4 pro is going for 399.99 right now.
I used 300k points paid 60.00 not a bad deal right now.

Can you post a copy of your receipt for clarification on how you did this?

Mine was $350 all in only because i used 90K points and only got $105 off. Still a good deal as I got 70K points back. Now transferring the data from my older unit to the newer one. Also swapped out my HDD for a hybrid SSD. Much faster than the stock drive and 2 TB instead of 1. But stock was so limited. I found only one among the stores I visited...

Why did you spend the 100k extra instead of saving it for the next redeem event? Or even redeeming the other 100k (for bonus points) for groceries in a separate transaction?

Is there any way to identify which stores might have these in stock?
Electronics at Shoppers locations are super hit and miss.

Maybe someone here can do the maths for me. How much money was spent at Shoppers to accumulate those points? How much of a premium did you for those items that can be bought for less at other places?
A life spent making mistakes is not only more memorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.

It varies, with no bonus it's 15 points / $1 ($13333 spend for 200k) but if course people do 20x bonus points, product bonuses and other app promos to heavily offset that. Sales are a must too, regular prices are usually a rip off.

If you're efficient enough to average 20x points (you can get more than 20x with some promos and stacking product bonuses), that's only $666 spend for 200k. But a 15x average would be a lot easier.

Not all shopping is required or done at Shoppers. Use PCWE MasterCard to pay bills. Also shop at superstore and no frills where they price match and also have bonus point offers. And occasionally shop at Shoppers when sales or bonus offers. So in my case I am earning points with the day to day needs of life. No premium paid to earn the points.

Buy at 20x events only = 30% bonus in points. 200k points = $667 spending, less if you can take advantage of product offers to give cumulative 50% back in points on those items.

How much of a premium did I buy these for at Shoppers? 0, zip, nada. I only buy items that are competitively priced. Only stupid shoppers would pay a premium for items at SDM for the points. RFD is not full of stupid shoppers.

At this point you might as well hold out for a PS5

It's not a deal, just a demonstration of what can be done with your shoppers points.
