Isn't this the same thing as the regular redemption event starting tomorrow?

I think they are trying to stop people from redeeming multiple Switches for resell.

So essentially...Extra $100 when you redeem 200k points.

I'd love to get a switch but these nintendo games are not my thing. I can never find anything at shoppers I'd want

You won't gain anything by reselling the Switch with this 100,000 pt bonus redemption. For this particular promo, you are getting bonus $100 basically but:

Switch at $400 + tax = $452 in Ont
$452 - $100 bonus = $352

The Switch goes for less than $352 on FB Marketplace, people might list it for more but they won't actually get $350 for it. Realistically you will sell it for $300. You are better off using the points to buy groceries.

This is dumb.. it's an ad to promote an item you can redeem for.

But ..

It says limit 2.. so that would seem to indicate you can redeem 400k for $600 off 2.. which you cannot.

Dumb.

I did it once to basically cash out my point and lost 50% of the bonus value. Not terrible, not great. Wouldn't risk it again.

In the GTA, you'd be lucky to sell a reg Switch for $320 these days (so even if you got 150,000 in bonus pt redemption, you basically lost almost all that bonus). FB Marketplace is always flooded with them. I wouldn't do it again either

I did it a few times. Back when I had the Pc membership for baby products. I have twins so spend lots of money on diapers and formula and rack up lots of points. I didn't have much use for those points and prefer to cash out this way. The price get better when it a week away from Christmas.
