I've been waiting to get COD MW since release. Heard multiplayer is kinda frustrating, so I was fine with waiting for a sale.
But I sort of expect to see an even cheaper price for it on actual BF...no reason, just a gut feeling.
I don't think it will get cheaper than $50 now, but a good chance it will get cheaper on Boxing Day if you have enough backlog to keep your interest for another month

Does points redemption consider as a buying action ? If use points go for a switch, will it be qualified for $125 gc?

Thanks!!!
Yes you still qualify.

However, the value of the “free” GC is deducted off the console. So you’ll be playing $275 for the Switch and $125 for the GC.

A good thing about this is tax is applied on $275 and not $400.

But you can only redeem a max $275 in points (not $400) or earn 15x/20x pts only on $275 if you have a multiplier offer.

I think they do this so if you return the console, you won’t get the full cost back due to the GC.

My experience was I couldn't previously use gift cards on a purchase where you receive a gift card.
This is correct because, although the GC is advertised as free, it’s not (as mentioned above). Therefore you cannot use a GC to pay for a GC.

I'm debating if I should buy tomorrow (20x offer which only is available tomorrow) or wait for this weekend $125GC?

Is there anyway I can save/cycle an offer for 15/20x the points to land this Saturday?

Tom, a bit OT but what I find confusing on this site is there are now 2 places to keep checking: the BF sub forum and the regular Hot Deals forum.

I'm doing everything I can to make sure this is the last year we need to run things this way.

-1000 Celsius freezing cold deal on the PS4 Pro. So Shoppers actually expects people to pay more than market price for a console that will be outdated in a year.

1. If I am make a $400 purchase, with 20x pt offer, paying with PC pts, do I still earn 20x pts/any pts from this purchase?

2. If the store's closing time is midnight, with the assumption that most stores don't close on the dot. Would they let me pay at midnight, get the sale price and apply the offer? Instead of me being there 7am in the morning.

Debating switch $400 w/ $125GC or Bonus redemption 250K pts for $400. Thanks in advance!

15 X the points (22.5%) on a $125 gift card is a lot of money ($28.13) to leave on the table to save a little bit of hassle unless the gift card is locked to a specific Shoppers's store, which I presume is not. Correct me if I'm wrong.
You definitely save less, though with tax it works out to be I believe around $12. I don't shop there but I also didn't get the chance to ask the cashier if she could just give me the GC. Only after the purchase did I realize that. I would have taken the GC but oh well.

I recall from last year's forum but some places might give you the GC? Could try asking but I personally did not even get that option.

Also if you do get a Switch from Shoppers please keep your receipt! I only kept the box and not the receipt (stupid mistake) and when I tried to use my warranty it said it already expired. By that time I only had the switch for about 8-9 months but I could not prove otherwise.

What do you mean just ask for the GC? Don't they just give it to you with this promo

Option 1:
- 250k points
- $20 cash for tax on $400 (assuming AB)
+ Nintendo switch

Option 2:
- $420 cash (incl AB tax)
+ $125 GC
+ Nintendo Switch

Option 3(?):
- $220 cash ($420 minus $200 for point redemption)
- 130k pts (= $200 redemption)
+ $125 GC
+ Nintendo Switch

If option 3 is viable, I would say it’s the best option? It assumes you get the GC from partial redemption
