[Shoppers Drug Mart] SDM PS4 Dualshock 4 $75 - $25 gift card (Sat/Sun)

On "page 4" of the Shoppers flyer it has Dualshock 4 controllers (can't tell what generation) for $75 but you get a $25 gift card (for shoppers). This is valid on Saturday (Aug 17) and Sunday (Aug 18) only.
I know it isn't the hottest price ever (especially with pricing errors a couple of months ago) but my son is looking for a 2nd controller now. I've been watching for the last month or so and this seems to be the only current special. Always YMMV with the SDM electronics department, so good luck to anyone wishing to buy.

Edit: There are some people that have a targeted PC Optimum offer that gives you 25000 points ($25 dollars worth) with a $75 purchase at SDM. (Makes the controller under $35 all in net)

Thread Summary
As of 9:30 p.m. Sunday!

LOTS at Bayview and John Street!

I just went there with my son. Got the last red one, but there are blue, black, camo, gold, and blue camo left.

If they get confused and add the PLU and take 25 off your bill, just add a $25 gift card, they cancel each other out and you get a $25 gift card. I bought cream for coffee at 2/$5 and the 25000 points showed on my receipt.

BE WARNED - they wanted to just discount my purchase by a $25 gift card, but I told them that won't do, I needed the $75 purchase to get my bonus points. They happily added a $25 gift card that I walked away with.

Thanks OP . BTW They are ALL the cuh-zct2u!

I've got a spend $75 get 25,000 pts personal offer. Would I get BOTH a $25 GC and $25 in points?

I think it depends on how the cashier rings it up. With these free GCs, it might show up as a $25 discount on the controller (so $49.99 for the controller), and a full $25 charge for the GC. Since the GC wouldn't count towards the $75 spend, it wouldn't trigger the bonus points. If that is the case, you would need to get another $25 worth of stuff to get the minimum $75 spend.

Good point. I guess I could ask the cashier before making the decision. Thanks for the tip. If I can get $50 back in GC/points, seems like a no brainer.

FYI even cashiers at SDM don't know how PCO points work. Best to ring it through the till and see if the machine gives the prompt for GC + points. Good luck!

Good to see this is (kindof) back, but have already 5 controllers that i got when they were at 50$ already during the Sony event in winter! :D

For once, I do use all the stuff i buy from RFD (well, i do use 4 controllers, have one backup!)...

Will maybe grab one or two others now to think about it... :D

Thanks. I also think I might have to buy a pack of gum or something to qualify for the points. I had a cashier once give me issues before because it wasnt exactly $75 before tax. Unamused Face

I'm going to try this exact thing too. Get the 25 gift card, cash in on the 25,000 for $75.00 so are bags still 5 cents at shoppers? Would that qualify?

Don’t forget controller is $74.99, would need a 1 cent filler...

I don't suppose they charge 5 cents for a bag?

Went this morning. The Landsdowne SDM in Peterborough had 5 left (2 black, 1 gold, 1 grey camo and 1 dark blue). There were none at the Landsdowne West location.
The gift card is added to the bill and then taken off. I ended up getting some soda to get it over the $75 mark so I could get the 25K bonus points. (So net cost around 35 all in)
Edit: can confirm it is generation 2

Got the card and the points as well with the purchase of the green camouflage. The box doesn't mention the top light bar. Still researching that before I open it.

I didn't notice any difference in the packaging (i.e. it did not say generation 2 anywhere on it). The only thing I noticed was one of the black controllers came in a slightly different colour blue box-- a shade lighter. It was hard to inspect anything because the shoppers had them on a shelf where each rod was locked so I could only slide them a few inches.
