The 20x points has always said cannot be combined with other offers, and yet it's always worked with 20% of or stacking promos like the "Get 800 points for every XX spent on Pampers".

Ya'll greedy bastards escalating things based on a misprinted date gonna ruin it when they discover they should probably not be allowing this & fix it for good.

I kinda wanna try and see if just making a purchase that's over the spend amount actually successfully applies the 20x. I'm one of the ones where it shows it's active for today and expires tomorrow.

If it doesn't actually work and there's no other offers being applied then you start getting into a legal area with false advertising.

You typically can't combine one offer with another offer. it says so in the fine print. Pick your poison...either ge tthe 20x points, or the 20%....
I've bought 4 Switches for myself & friends/family & numerous games this way. They have stacked every time for the past 2 years whether it be 20% + 20x, 15x, 10x or XX points for XX dollars spent. The only time it doesn't is when the offer isn't valid (like here - we told everyone it's dated wrong days ago), or when a shifty manager adjusts the price or overrides it at the till.

I've used 20x, 15x and spend $50 to get 10k points back with 20% off multiple times.
I think it's just the actual 20x offer this time around. It's supposed to start tomorrow but it's showing today for some people.

I bought a Nintendo Switch but I'm a bit puzzled by how the promos worked...

I had the "get 10k pts per 50$ spent". I see a mention about it on my bill but it's written that way : "SPEND 50, 40000". I do not understand why I got only 40k points when it should've been (6*10k)=60000 pts. Anyone have an idea?

Oh well, the deal didn't end up as great as I hoped but it's still ok I guess. Also, the manager added the "final sale" stamp on my bill. Is it normal?

Did you calculate the points before the taxes.

Yeah, it's 304.79$ + taxes..

So 300/50 = 6. It should be 6*10k pts right?

It looks like I got a different promo OR there was a maximum of 40k.

This sounds vaguely familiar, I think the same thing happened to someone last time as well. Check the old 20% threads, might have even been the last one from last month.

I had a big fail trying to get a switch
Asked the cashier if I could use the 20% off coupon. he said no way, wouldn't scan it
Showed my Optimum app showing the 20x points on $50+. The wording seemed clear that its valid today. However - only got the regular number of points. He even cancelled and tried again.

I bought it and will not open it until I figure this out. I actually would have preferred the 20% off as I don't do a lot of shopping with Optimum points

So, not sure what happened, but I requested Optimum to investigate the missing points through the app

In post #86 in this thread addispartans confirmed with online chat that it's a mistake and only valid tomorrow. The app shows incorrectly but a Desktop shows the correct date.

Odd, I have the app on my one account & there's no mention in the fine print of a maximum points rewarded or dollar total...

Almost all electronics are all final sale at Shoppers - They make you deal with the manufacturer if there are issues.

well I went in the morning and that post wasn't made then.
And as I mentioned, 20% off wasn't available either. Anyway, I'll go back to the store tonight at midnight (its a 24hrs one) and return then rebuy with my 20x points.

SDM'd out. Gotta look real hard for stuff cheaper than anywhere else. Points are nice, but not if you are being ripped off.
