SDM'd out. Gotta look real hard for stuff cheaper than anywhere else. Points are nice, but not if you are being ripped off.
I think you got it backwards, all I see is 6 pages of people trying to figure out how to rip SDM off.

That's why these thread inevitably turn into a discussion about using the discounts & points for video games - Primarily Nintendo ones - that never go on sale.

No where else in the world can you get a Switch BNIB for 20% off, let alone bonus points.

I bought a Nintendo Switch but I'm a bit puzzled by how the promos worked...

I had the "get 10k pts per 50$ spent". I see a mention about it on my bill but it's written that way : "SPEND 50, 40000". I do not understand why I got only 40k points when it should've been (6*10k)=60000 pts. Anyone have an idea?

Oh well, the deal didn't end up as great as I hoped but it's still ok I guess. Also, the manager added the "final sale" stamp on my bill. Is it normal?
I had this happen multiple times as well. I'm not sure how the calculation works for the Spend 50, get 10,000 points thing, but with 15x offer, you only get 15 x 12 points instead of 15 x 15 points. 12 points is equal to 20% off 15. Weird glitch but you can get a points adjustment.

You’re not playing this game right.

Was contemplating a Switch as I had the points offer in the app, but it's become clear that was an error in the app. I can't be troubled chasing them after points so I'll pass for now.

I got a 15k for $50 spent email offer this afternoon. I walked through SDM and walked out with nothing.

Only electronic the store had out was a printer.

20x points over $60 valid today, 20% off anything valid today... guess I need to track down some expensive electronic for resale?

The 20x points has always said cannot be combined with other offers, and yet it's always worked with 20% of or stacking promos like the "Get 800 points for every XX spent on Pampers".

Ya'll greedy bastards escalating things based on a misprinted date gonna ruin it when they discover they should probably not be allowing this & fix it for good.
upvoted and agree. I just wanted to clarify that your example is incorrect. The 20x points has always said 'cannot be combined with department or total store offers' For the stacking promos like you suggest as well as all the ones in the app that are for specific items the promos did stack in the past and should stack in the future.

In the past the 20x also stacked on 20% off days. Not just once, but every time, but it is very clear and there should be no misunderstanding. 20% off is a total store offer. 20x is a total store offer. There is no requirement for them to both work. The best you could really argue is that you feel that the 20x is better than the 20% and you didn't receive the best of the 2 offers.

As for the false advertising that someone mentioned, there is no false advertising when it's clearly a mistake. How they make it right is a different story.

Got this in household. Is it just 10,000 bonus pts when you spend $50 or more?

You need the one that says 10k for EVERY $50 spent
Usually is a total store offer

Thanks!

Grabbed a Nintendo Switch and a copy of Breath of the Wild for $303.99 and $63.99 after the 20% off. I suppose I could’ve done some coupon stacking like others in this thread but honestly I’m just happy to get a Switch for close to $300.

Cheers!
