Shoppers Optimum points

I have 104K Shoppers Optimum points. Asking for $1.60 per 1K points.

If redeemed during a bonus points event, the points are worth up to $2.60 per 1K points.

I don't think you will see the bonus events again as in the past. They have been doing points back on full redemption. SO 95k gives back 22k = $170+$30. That averages $1,71 per 1k points assuming you don't roll over to another full redemption - but that requires a lot more points. When was the last time $250 redemption for 95k ($2.6/1k) happened?

There is value to your sale but the second statement is misleading to some.

Actually, I priced it using the Nov 2016 bonus redemption event, where you could redeem 95K for $170 and get 30K back. So, you're spending 65K for $170, which is $2.6 per 1K.

With the upcoming bonus points event, it's 95K for $170 and get 22K back, so $2.3 per 1K.

Granted, you still need the entire 95K in your account, but that's why I said "up to". For someone who has lots of SDM and wants to transfer these points into their account, it's very possible to achieve it.

Although there are currently no restrictions or issues with trading and transferring ponts , I would be inclined not to get into long and drawn out discussions regarding point transfers etc. Just might be best to keep this under the radar and close to the vest , so to speak.

No sense waiving the red flag in front of the bull unless one intends to get hit !!
