Morning folks
So looks like we are trapping more bulls and bears. Going to look at the AAII Investor Sentiment Survey tomorrow to see where we stand.
I think this rally into earnings have one more push higher.

yes, knowing your risk appetite is really a key thing. So many traders don't even have a clue about how much they can stomach. Not saying I have balls made in steel, I don't think TSLA will hit $500 before the actual ER day.

Selling vol has been working well. It will work especially well right at election time even if market drops.MrMom wrote: ↑ The forecast US election induced volatility hasn't occurred yet. In fact the VIX curve is at it's lowest and flattest since mid August.

Since there's no Investment programming thread that I'm aware of and I'm not interested in starting one, I'll post this here.
RBC launches its first AI stock trading program
October 14 at 6:34 PM
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/busines ... g-program/
Excerpts;
"The initial Aiden algorithm is focused on a volume-weighted average price (VWAP) trading strategy, which tries to execute trades near the daily moving VWAP for a given stock. The goal of the Aiden algorithm is to reduce “slippage" from the VWAP, which happens when an order is executed at a different price from what is anticipated."
"Borealis AI is also working on other uses of artificial intelligence for RBC. These include software such as NOMI, which advises personal banking clients on ways to save money based on their own spending habits, and natural language processing tools meant to quickly identify news that could move markets."

Just once, I want the talking heads admit that they have no clue about the market movements.

I see 3430 as support. Bot NQ 11770 and ES 3434 this am. There is gap to close, and hence my play.
Otherwise I am busy at work, no time to trade.
Re: vol crush - if election outcome to be decided in court, we could see big spike in vol. Working IC 3100/3000/3700/3800 in Dec for 35 CR. Almost 70% POP
edit: going to take NQ off 11870 for almost 100 points

It's easy to grin when your ship comes in and you've got the stock market beat.

waiting for TICK xplosion to unload. sellers are trying to push down, but gap must be closed
hold..hold.. hold!
maybe 11900 on NQ and 3477 on ES
min 11867 and 3472
edit: previously, I would have already sold. but action must end with the bang. waiting... 3..3:15 should be todays highs
edit: ES on target, NQ 11865 - almost there. Where are the ticks?
don't want to be greedy, but testing 20MA on hourly could be in play - 3482 and 11960 (maybe not NQ)
cmon bulls, time running out... tick-tock
edit: out NQ 11868, half ES 3472.5

An IHS doesn't get prettier than that...triggers above 3490, target 3550
Still long and underwater...don't want to see sustained trade below 3450
