Siemens 2.4Ghz Expandable Cordless Phone............Only 150,000 HBC Pts!

I've had a similar Siemens 2.4 gig phone for a couple years now, only diff is mine has speakerphone base/keypad and came with 2 handsets. I can say this about it - it is very well built, been dropped more than a few times on hardwood floors and it still works great. I've driven away with the handset on my belt a few times by accident and it loses the signal 1 block from the house.

No wireless network at my place so I can't comment on whether it interferes or not.

Actually, this is the old model. The new ones are the 4000 series. I just picked up 2 4010s from factorydirect.ca including headsets for $49 each.

I also have the same old model too. The new ones are nicer/better IMO.

great phone no doubt, but lets not forget that siemens is getting out of the north american market, thus a extended REMPLACEMENT-if possible- warranty would be a great choice

Actually the 4000 series isn't even being made anymore, It's been out of production for probably more then a year now. The new stuff they have is even better, they have one that's made by an Italian designer and some really nice new ones, they've come quite a long day since the 4000 series. I'm picking one up next time I go to Europe

I don't know how many of you have actually used this phone, but it is the worst phone ever made in the history of telephones. There's a design flaw that causes condensation to build-up under the keypad after prolonged use and on humid days. This makes the LCD go all funky and the keys to become unresponsive. Not only that but it's just too slim and not comfortable to hold, you'll break your neck if you try to pin it between your head and your shoulder. I've got a set sitting in my basement somewhere in a cupboard.

Thats the one I have - its been a good phone but I'm looking at the new Panasonic 5.8 gig models, very nice.
