[Simons] Rossignol Ski Interstellar Jacket from $1,000 to $200 and more winter clearance

I picked this jacket from $995 to $200 today at the West Vancouver store, it was still marked down to $500 but after I tried it the nice lady told me it had just been marked lower, online there's small and large. I am 1.70 cm and got the small.

If you have a store nearby it may be worth the trip, all the premium jackets were being marked down today to $200, I bought another Peak Performance ski jacket for $200 (regular $750), there was even another jacket that was $1,250 also selling for $200 but did not like it. The biggest deals were on jackets but very good deals on pants and mid layers, some more than 50% off (Salomon, Helly Hansen, Patagonia, Burton). Several gloves and mittens priced $80, $90 and $95 for $40. Ice Breaker socks were "only" $10 off from $30 to $20 and baselayers were like 20% off.

Many deals in other departments, bought a Lacoste v neck sweater for $20 and a Jack and Jones collection sweater for $10 (there are a few racks with everything for $10)

Simons in Ottawa has similar prices. The best deal would be the men's Holubar parka for $200, marked down from $850. They only have sizes S and XL remaining. It's the orange parka on the Holubar website. Otherwise, the outerwear sale prices aren't great. I would wait for the next round of discounts to get a deal.

There are other good deals, like Michael Kors ultrafine merino V-neck sweaters for $20. The fabric is like butter. I bought the last M sweater but they have XL and XXL remaining, I think. They also have lots of cotton sweaters for $10.

Are these items overpriced for what they are/do? Won't argue with that.
Are they artificially marked up by the store? Nope. This is the Peak Performance jacket I bought from $750 to $200, retails for the $750 at the official site.

It is like buying designer jeans, shirts, etc. Prices can seem ridiculous but those are indeed the retail prices.

If you keep up with the ski wear, especially the brand name high performance ski stuff..then yes they are hella expensive. Jackets can easily cost 600-800 before tax. It is pretty damn crazy, and I would never buy it at full price. And at that price, it better also look damn good, which some don't.

I personally really like the brank KillTec, made in some country in Europe. It has similar features as coats double/triple the price and quality has been excellent so far.
