I'm a new customer. If I open a chequing with this promo, would I be ineligible for future interest rate saving promos? Tangerine allows you to get both, but not sure how Simplii works.
Blowing all savings from RFD on deals from RFD 😂

I had a PC Financial chequing account, not sure if I closed it or not. Is anyone eligible as long as they never created an account under its new name?

So I am eligible to get $200 without changing payroll from my current account to this one if I set two pre-authorized debits?

I called Simplii and they said that they do have to do a hard credit pull in order to open the chequing account... is $200 even worth a hard pull?

Just curious, why are they getting paid monthly instead of bi-weekly, as mandated? (Unless your province is different for some reason or getting paid under the table)

Well... people say it’s not a big issue... if it helps, they pull from Equifax, your choice to accept the hard credit check if you sign up.

Mind as well get overdraft if you are signing up... they are running your credit anyway.

I received my debit card and activated it today, what is the easiest way to setup Pre-authorized debit bill payments from this account? Can I do this within the Account or I need to do it through my biller?
So I just got off the phone activating my debit card. I asked about the pre-authorized bill payment. The rep said no. It just needs to be a straight online bill payment. I'm trying to find the fine print on the website to make sure.

I set -up Pre authorized bill payments, with the form they are providing on there website "automatic bill payment form" I completed two forms and submitted to my billers...just don't want to take a chance...there terms states "automatic bill payments" and then the following link takes you to a Pre authorized bill payments form which they are asking to send to the billers....

You do whatever way you like, but its safe to set-up as pre authorized

AFAIK all those chequing accounts were closed, regardless of whether you closed them or not.

I called them after getting an email request for additional info. Turns out that the information PC financial had on me was different from what I entered when applying for simplii.

Wondering the same - I have a score of 830 and I'm not sure if this would even put a dent in it lol
