Great find OP!
With the fees comes to $5.71+tax (Quebec total $6.57/month tax in)
If you think about it you are paying 12*5.71=68.52 which is the price of the echodot when it is at full price (see current amazon.ca deal - 3 for $89.97) therefore it is 12 months of SiriusXM free

Ended up caving and getting the deal. RECEIVED AMAZON REDEMPTION CODE 10 MINUTES LATER. However when I look at all the conditions I do not see the 70$ termination fee anywhere. Not sure if this is because of my location (Quebec has law's surrounding early cancellation fees) or I just have not found where it is written. From what I see in the image attached, I can cancel anytime.

When I was going through several things made me not want to get this. One they claim they might charge shipping on the echo dot, two they will increase the price of subscription in the following months by I believe 3$ (there was like 3 items don't remember the exact cost).

Edit: here is what they wrote

Effective January 8, 2020, we are increasing the price of the All Access Package by $0.81 per month plus taxes, Select Package by $0.63 per month plus taxes and Mostly Music by $0.41 per month plus taxes. This change will be effective on your next billing date. For more information, please visit

Nevermind it won't go up if you sub before Jan 2020.

No dice for me. I'm still on a 3 month trial from a new vehicle, then I have a 6 month special bolted on after that. Would have been nice if this stacked.

Be forewarn... there is a $70 early termination fee that applies if you cancel during the first 6 months. It also says shipping charges may apply for the free Echo Dot. Just wondering if anyone got charged shipping for it. Also a Music Royalty and Admin Fee of 14.2% of the subscription price applies, but I suspect that's the same across the board?

It’s a solid price for the service regardless of the dot. I would pay $5 a month for the radio if they where not so hit and miss with deals and advertising. It’s a pain to call in and ask over and over for the deals. I guess cell phones are much worse. Internet is no better.

Looks from a previous echo dot promotion. Sirius gives ya a code to use at amazon and you possibly pay the tax and or the shipping.

I'm surprised they didn't make it 12 months instead of 6, or require payment of 12 months in advance. So effectively you can call in just after 6 months to cancel and pay only $5 x 6 = $30 +taxes & fees for the echo.
