Size of pot to boil a dozen of corn cobs?

So, I need a pot and I want to get one that is big enough to boil a dozen of corn cobs. How many litres/quarts do I need?

Do you have a cooler?
Boil water, fill cooler with corn, pour in enough boiling water, wait approx 20 mins, voila

I don't but that's an interesting idea.

Really? That doesn't damage the cooler?

I've heard of this method before but somehow exposing a plastic container not designed for it to that heat for potential chemicals to seep out into the water and corn doesn't seem worth it.

Put cobs in an aluminum pan filled halfway with water. Put directly on grill.
