I got an email that Snow Joe is having a pre-season snow sale, save up to 50% off with code SNOW20

Would this kind of snow blower work in Ottawa? I will need to shovel a narrow driveway (fits one small car) and small parking lot that fits 3 very small cars or 2 medium sized cars. This will be my first winter in Ottawa.

There are a few more snow blowers on sale here:

$95 USD after coupon
$19 USD shipping
Plus the exchange rate
Plus Customs if caught by the border....cold deal.

As for if it would work in Ottawa. In a huge snowstorm, no way, you'll have to layer off the top and then go down...you can't push it all in one pass like a gas snow blower.

This is the maximum amount of snow you can clear with it, and as you can see...it isn't even close to a what a gas snowblower can do.

Is it easier than shovelling? Yes absolutely, people like them in RFD for small snowfalls...but you have to understand it's limitations because it's so small (10 inches!) This is the corded model in the video:

Richmond Hill
I purchased this Snow Joe iON18SB-HYB Hybrid back in July 2017 for $199, and it has served me well here in Richmond Hill with a typical suburban two car driveway. Don't know why, but Amazon weirdly had Snowblowers as their Deal of the Day in July! The mailman gave me an odd look delivering it.

I can usually clear everything on battery power alone, but for those extreme snow fall days, I plug it in for an extra boost in power.

A "cordless snow shovel"...

A.k.a., a "snow shovel".

these things are crap. useless for any large amount of snow. and especially for a "small parking lot", you would never finish. get a normal snow blower.

I have the non-hybrid one, and battery usually lasts per snowfall no issues. It's going onto its 4th year. Remarkable.
Why can't we all just get along?

Save your money and buy a snow blower (gas or 80v electric)

And if clearing snow is an issue, time to switch to condo life.
