Location? What kind of machines do your neighbours currently use?

Size of driveway? Gravel or asphalt/concrete? Any steps on the walkway (that the machine needs to be lifted up?

How much snow does the plow leave at the end of the driveway?

Where are you blowing the snow to ? Are both sides of the driveway open ? Is there a specific spot the snow needs to end up?

Storage place available in the garage?

The Toro 721 is a default general purpose “go to” machine unless there are some special circumstances like the snow plow leaves a giant wind row at the end of the driveway (ie two stage territory)

The 721qze is useful if you have to drop the snow in a specific spot (ie you need to continuously adjust the chute as you are moving)

Heads up for those looking at Toro's. I noticed they offer a 1 year warranty extension on the motor if you buy the "maintenance kit" Model# 138-0699 at the same time as your blower on the same invoice.
Details here: https://cdn2.toro.com/en/-/media/Files/ ... 8-web.ashx
Warranty here: https://cdn2.toro.com/en/-/media/Files/ ... 8-web.ashx

I could not find the kit listed on Kooy or Home Depot web sites, but did find it on the Home Depot site in the USA

The maintenance Kit is oil, a spark plug and fuel stabilizer.

This one is the cheapest model that has power steering. It is great for maneuvering the machine without disengaging the auger and drive. If you can live without power steering and heated grips, get the 208cc Briggs & Stratton SB for $550 - $600 when on sale. It is in the same tier just fewer bells and whistles.

Power steering is great and the heated handlebars are the cats meow

Looking for a snowblower suggestion. Have a fairly large driveway. It's about 2 ½ cars deep and 2 cars wide up in Simcoe region. Dont want to spend more than 1200. But I'd prefer in the 800-1000 range

Simcoe as in Barrie/ Orillia ? sounds like 2 stage territory

The Toro single stage for $575 is a good deal. It is more than enough for last year's snow.

There is no good deal on two stage at this moment. I would wait until Black Friday.
