[Sobeys] [AB/BC/ON/NB] FREE* Barilla Ready Pasta *after airmiles ONE DAY ONLY FRI Jan 11 2019

Image

It's Blue Friday Bonus Airmiles day January 11 2019 at Sobeys proper (NOT Urban Fresh)

They have Barilla Ready Pasta for $2 each but are giving 50 airmiles on purchase of 2 bags (crossing my fingers it's not a misprint)

Well apparently IT IS A MISPRINT but you're still ahead by 26 cents on a purchase of two bags

FYI everyone, this is a price error. Was in Sobeys tonight (Queensway location in TO), and there is a notice posted at the front of the store with the correction that they are 2 for $5, not $2 each.
While I doubt any one store would have 50 bags of these, the ON flyer will have a coupon for 100 airmiles when you make a purchase of $100 in a single transaction

Seriously considering buying some and leaving them in the food bank donation bin

Ehhh...I'm not a food snob, but you can't make a proper bowl of pasta if you don't finish it in the sauce. Otherwise it just kinda gums up and never absorbs the sauce.

Use the $1.26 (or multiples there of) to buy your choice of dry pasta but I suspect dry pasta isn't gourmet enough neither right?

Page 10 of the Ontario Sobeys flyer. There is a $1.00 off coupon for the Ready Pasta that expires January 31. (Not sure if the can still be found)
Thanks OP

This is in the Alberta flyer too (at least here in Calgary at my local store).

Good opportunity to donate to a food bank and be rewarded in more ways than one. I don't eat this stuff but I will be picking up some of this pasta, and some sauce, to donate.

Thanks OP for the heads up!

Same deal in New brunswick. Buy 2 get 50 air miles. Not bad at all. Might grab a few since I have to drop by Sobeys to get a few items on friday :) Thanks OP

Is it better to put your Airmiles in Cash or Dream rewards? Thanks for sharing! It's the same deal in BC at Safeway!

I think Cash miles are easier to redeem and the thread is based on 95 cash miles = $10
I have no idea what Dream miles are worth (I still have 95 dream miles before I clued in I'll probably never use those)
Also I don't travel so the dream miles are a total abstraction as far as I'm concerned

Question, for the 24 hour stores, when will the Blue Friday promotion begin? Can I go in after midnight to shop and get the bonus airmiles, or does iit start at like 6 or 7am? This will be my first time shopping on Blue Friday since I just got back into collecting airmiles. Work til 10pm friday night so evertthing will likely be out of stock by the time I can get there after work

Good catch OP, thanks. If I pick them up they'll go straight to the FB bin but the problem will be finding stock at your local store since the shelves will be raided empty by the time I get there after work.

By the way, you can see the flyer on Flipp.com/flyers web site, click on "Latest" tab near the top to see coming up flyers.
