[Sobeys] Mmmmm CAKE - $7.99 plus get 50 AirMiles (Ontario)

Sobeys - Ontario - Bar Cake 410g-510g - $7.99 and get 50 AirMiles back.

So that's about $2.73 for a small cake when you factor the value of the AirMiles.

Mmmmmm CAKE.

(price for cake edited from original because "jenviea" caught a calculation error in my calculation of AirMiles value)

Wow the airmiles for the price is fantastic, buy the cake and donate it for a kitchen if you don't want to eat it.

Was there today. I saw chocolate fudge, black forest, white (vanilla?), something that looked like Oreo, and one called Snickers or something like that.

So that's about $2.49 for a small cake when you factor the value of the AirMiles.
Your math is off

$7.99 - (50 airmiles/95 airmiles = $5.26) = $2.73

But I believe cake is taxed so it's ($7.99*1.13)-$5.26 = $3.77

My math is fine. I added the safe-word "about" Smiling Face With Open Mouth And Smiling Eyes
But you're right. I used 11 cents calculation when it's closer to 10.5 cents. I'll edit the original post in your honour.

But ZERO tax so that makes my amount closer than yours.
Therefore I WIN and YOU LOSE!!!!!
Mmmm... as a winner's prize I'm gonna git me some $2.73 CAKE!

Someone's making a leap to think I have an income! :) At let's be honest here people, who's taking a cake to the Foodbank to get a write-off and Airmiles to break-even (not counting the time involved). I prefer to just give them Buy 1, Get 1 coupons for McDonalds so they get a whole meal for free (from me). I got my express pass to heaven validated for that mindless act of generosity! :)
