[Pharma Plus] Softlips Lip Balm $0.14 @ Pharma Plus until Thurs. Nov 4 (YMMV)

This past week, Pharma Plus is having 50% off all their Softlips lip balms but the sale ends Thursday at store close. Regular price is $3.78 and 50% off brings it down to $1.89.

Use this $2.00 off coupon: http://www.softlips.ca/en/pages/coupon_en.pdf and you can basically get it for $0.14.

Be forewarned though, some cashiers are incompetent and they will say that you cannot use this coupon cause it is greater in value than the cost of the item. It will work in their system if they just enter it as they usually do with manufacturer's coupons. Some might only enter in the value of the coupon as $1.89, which will make the price $0.25 which is still a hot deal, IMO.

Enjoy!

1) $1.89 + tax = $2.14 - $2.00 coupon = $0.14

2) $1.89 + tax = $2.14 - $1.89 (cashier enter in coupon as $1.89 b/c they say the coupon can't cover tax) = $0.25

Either way, the max you'd be paying for this lip balm is $0.25. Isn't really a hassle, but some cashiers just don't know how to enter in a coupon when it is worth more than the price of the item

Actually I think it is worth the hassle to educate cashiers about how coupons work. The store will be reimbursed $2 plus handling fee for the coupon. So if they only give you $1.89 for the coupon, they are committing coupon fraud and the store is making money off the coupon. If you read the coupon, it clearly states: "... will reimburse the face value of the coupon ...Other applications may constitute fraud".

I love this brand of lip balm. Normally I find it a bit pricy. But this is a good deal!

Vaughan
Bought one in Vaughan, the cashier didn't say anything other than told me it was on clearance (I guess no return). I bought the no fragance (bigger one), it came out $1.42 taxes included after the coupon.
