[softwarecity.ca] Dell Ultrasharp 27" U2715H $534.69 + $8.99 shipping fee

Deal Link:
Hello,

Softwarecity.ca is selling the Dell Ultrasharp 27" U2715H for $534.69 + $8.99 shipping http://www.softwarecity.ca/item.asp?item=U2715H

I'm aware that this monitor was $499 @ Dell.ca a few months ago but with the weak Canadian dollars it may not go down in price for a while.

Its the best 27" 2k monitor that you can buy IF you don't play competitive video games and if you are looking for an excellent picture quality, build quality and agood warranty. Comes w/ a 3yrs warranty and the Dell Premium Panel Guarantee

>Even if only one bright pixel is found, a free monitor exchange is guaranteed during the Limited Warranty period.

Excellent monitor but it might be worth waiting for it on Dell.ca. It has gone down to $529 a few times recently and you can add Ebates to it.

It is basically $499.99 on dell.ca right now (less ebates ~$14) It's listed at $699.99 but it includes a $200 ePromotional Card (according to the DDoD page). Since the card has a limited use window and has to be used at Dell, it's not exactly the same as paying $500.. but they have enough DDoD and the expiration (based on the small print) would be passed black friday and boxing week sales... bound to be a use for it by then :D

I see the ePromotion Card as only $100.

The page is misleading, there's a save $200 above, and $100 below (there's actually 3 savings lines/12 entries for 2 lines of monitors/8). You certainly *wouldn't* save $200 on a much cheaper 24 (above) so I figure the savings above are the correct ones. Plus it's been down close to $500 before (if they're working on a 60% redeem factor their average sell price is $580 which is in range).

You guys can also call in and they will offer additional discount on top! Might even be able to get them to match $499. Dell has like the best customer service for this.

I see that now, that is a brutal page.

I have a Dell U2913WM

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and tried to download software for the monitor from the Dell site
The Dell web site said that they would not support Windows 10 upgrades for my monitor

So be very careful

What kind of software update do you need for a monitor?

Yeah, Dell is pretty bad regarding that from what I've seen. Have the same issue on a different monitor I'm returning, and it almost looks like dust under the screen, not dead pixels. Sure, maybe some are expected spread out across the screen, but all the ones I've seen from other people with Dell monitors are bunched together, which is annoying. If I was outside my 30-day return period with them, they were going to do nothing for me. My QNIX monitor has better quality control. Has some stuck pixels, but I don't notice them.

These don't affect monitor function, so you have nothing to worry about.

The touch buttons to control the screen are kinda hard to use on the monitor though so I can see why he would like to have the software that allows him to configure the monitor on W10.
