Some portrait RAW files with R5 + 50mm f1.2 shot wide open

Hi guys,

Had the chance to quickly test the Canon R5. Took some quick natural light portrait shots. You'll also find some heavily underexposed shots, wanted to see how much I could push post if underexposed.

Here is the drive with the files and my own edit on one of the underexposed files. (Uploading as I post this thread, there are 22 files 812mb so by the time you read this, they might not all be uploaded yet)

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

PS. Only the last several photos were shot using face detect, the rest were shot using single point AF

Feel free to share your own edits here! I'm always curious about how other people would edit their files.

My edit on my phone. I purposely took one of the most underexposed shots.

Editing on my phone is tough but Lightoom mobile sure has improved recently. Great shots btw and great exercise!

Original at bottom for people to understand why RAW is powerful and why R5 is a great camera (I have the A7RIV just recently and cannot wait to take it to extremes)

Thanks!

The sensor seems amazing at controlling noise despite being so high resolution
