Looks like if you have the 15% upgrade credit offer for having a sonos product already, it overrides the 20% with 15% and you get less of a deal.

Don't be logged in when checking out.

I've been sitting on a 30% update credit waiting for higher Rakuten deals. But on the rakuten page it says:

Special Conditions
Non Reward : Use of coupon/promo code not found on Rakuten may void Cash Back. Cash Back is not available on Gift Cards.


Has anyone had an an issue combining the two deals?

Did you use a coupon or otherwise have an upgrade discount attaxhed to your account?

Yes, not only can coupons cause an issue for Rakuten cash back, but if you have a discount code attached to your account or input a discount code, the product price will be full price and only the coupon code discount will be taken based on that full price (discounts do not stack).

I didn’t have an issue with Sonos but I did with staples. They made a one time exception for me.

Thanks OP. Got an Arc from BB open box. Was thinking to return it, but decide to give it a further try with a sub mini paired. Sub mini has no discount I used my uni 15% code and hopefully 10% cash back.

Same here got arc from BB open box but not blown by the performance. If I keep it then I’ll need to add sub to it some day , but not sure if sub mini is the right fit for it as sub might be more suited.

If you don't need the $50 apple GC, free mount or 30% accessories coupon then definitely buy it from Sonos. Costco is a way better deal if those things you can use. Unfortunately out of stock at costco

Same here. Returning the Costco one since I don't need the Apple gift card. Would rather save $40 with Rakuten.
