Sonos Black Friday Sales Live! Sonos.com, Best Buy, Bay Bloor, Vision, The Source, Amazon all live. Costco has the beam (shadow edition, a dark grey) up so far. Will add more if folks see them :)

$150 off for $349 on Beam and Move, and $749 on Sub ... Yes not cheap but great opportunity to start or add to your Sonos ecosystem since the Sub is rarely on sale and is the one piece that makes a huge diff to a system. Move is same price as that sale last week, Beam lowest according to CCC.

thx @Atomix84 for linking Vision flyer for Cyber Monday https://www.visions.ca/eFlyer/ .. other stores should come online soon

no deals on the Arc, but for those looking, this one is obv YMMV ... but if you have older gen sonos devices, log in to your account and claim your 15% or 30% discount codes, no expiration and more importantly no bricking or returning your old speakers! Perkopolis also have a 15% off Sonos thing fwiw. Unfortunately this doesn't stack with other promos so you can't do $150+ 30% off for a Beam for example Face With Tears Of Joy

Thanks for posting. Tempted to get a Move.

Small note to OP - the sub is $749 not $349 (typo in title above the links). Was about to click click click at $349. Face With Tears Of Joy

I have a 10 year old Yamaha YSP-2200 sound bar and subwoofer system. It's been great, sounds great, works with all the tvs I've had over the years, but I've always thought of getting into the Bose or Sonos sound bar and sub systems for all the newer technology.

Would getting any of these current deals be an upgrade or downgrade for what I currently have in terms of sound, tech etc? My current setup doesn't have wifi, Bluetooth, any smart assistants so that's what I'm looking for but I don't want to downgrade in terms of sound just for those features. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Really debating getting the Arc and Sub Gen3 to complement my two One's and make a full surround sound system.

Thoughts?

Do you need eARC or will a ARC work just as well?

I have the Arc and Sub Gen 3 and 2 Ones.

If your TV doesn't support eARC and you want Dolby Atmos, you will need this device: https://www.hdfury.com/product/4k-arcana-18gbps/

I can confirm the setup works really well, you won't be disappointed.

Would recommend your proposed setup, I currently use a playbase, sub and two sonos ones as a surround setup.

In every way the arc is a better soundbar than the playbase, so...

Was it overpriced in my mind?

Yes.

Do I absolutely love using it everyday?

Yes! Yes! Yes!

As for eARC/ARC, I able to get surround and control my volume with Vizio remote via optical audio, so if you’re going with HDMI you should have the same experience.

Does anyone have experience integrating the Move as part of their home setup (i.e., when it's just sitting there, plugged in)? Does it essentially sound just like a Sonos One? I have a 5.0 setup for the TV, and a couple of Ones in the kitchen and dining area... wondering if the Move would be a good option for the bedroom, e.g.

So you're using Optical Audio for Dolby Atmos?

$350 Beam is Ok Hand Sign

Based on reviews the ARC pretty much needs eARC to work its best.

They indicated they have a Playbase which does not support Dolby Atmos.

Even if it did, Dolby Atmos cannot be passed via optical as it can only be passed via HDMI.

This is correct, I am running Dolby 5.1. For Dolby Atmos will need to use HDMI

Yeah it’s basically a one with a big battery on the bottom.

We use it as the speaker in our home office and then it gets moved outside or wherever else we want it that doesn’t have a speaker. It’s mostly useful in the summer.

Been waiting for a price drop on the Beam for months. Snagged one in the wee hours. Tempted to get the Move but can’t justify it right now with 2 Ones and a handful of portable BT speakers.

It is most definitely not a One.

The sound is comparable, if not better, to a Play 3.

Plus a ton of extra features.

This link is a great companion and gives a good price breakdown.

Does anyone have the beam with their Google Home setup and can give some thoughts?

I'm confused about adding the Beam to a google home speaker group. Apparently you can't do it?

But what if I connect my Chromecast on my TV to the speaker group then output the sound through Sonos?

We have a Move, it was our first Sonos product, since then we’ve picked up a Connect from Kijiji. I’m not an audiophile and I haven’t ever had a good portable speaker so I’m not the best to comment on sound quality, but I find it very good. Seems to get plenty loud enough and has decent bass (dog barks sometimes because of it). We bring it outside, to different rooms when cleaning, to the cottage, etc.

The built in Alexa microphones aren’t as good as span Echo device and you can’t use full Alexa functionality like drop in, so I sold my full size echo and got an echo dot. Set it up so the echo dot listens but plays over the Move.

If you’re just looking for a portable speaker, you might be able to find something cheaper but get this one if you’re already part of the Sonos system or planning on it.
