They had 2 for $18 on these from Selless(Zellers) last week, and they tend to go on sale at that price every couple of months from Selless.

for the past 3-4 mths, it seems like they've put Maxell's and/or Sony's (both 50 and 100pks) on sale ($9-20) every other wk (if not every wk)

what brands are good?

The best so far is Verbatim brand. but per review this is one run next to Verbatim. so not a bad brand too. Just got an email bargain offer from Newegg.ca. You can buy Verbatim on sale via newegg for 20 / 100 pcs or also have it price match with either Staples or FS.
