It's a good price indeed, and yet I've already got a huge backlog of games to go through before I can even bother with PS Now.

So for downloadable games on ps4 (as opposed to streaming), is it exactly the same as if you buy the game normally? Like say you do PSnow for Metal Gear Phantom Pain (downloadable PS4), does that mean I no longer have to buy Metal Gear Phantom Pain (well the bundle) for $6 on the spring sale? Yes I lose the game if I unsubscribe to PSnow, but is the game exactly the same? Since it's not streaming (which would be downgraded quality).

Is this worth it if you have couple years of game pass bought out?

if you need to play some ps exclusives it is worth it...
some I believe already exist in GP so might not be worth it...

It baffles me that they have a windows client and didn't bother to make a Mac/android/ios one

Anyone had luck running this on Mac without having to run windows? Maybe wine, crossover?

It sets up recurring billing for you at the discounted price actually. So could leave it like this if you liked. Can cancel if you don't want. Remember on PSN, there is no tax (at least in Ontario).

It doesn't say that though... $79.99 ongoing

They have conflicting info on their page... near the top in bold:
Ongoing subscription with a 79,99 $ recurring fee (+applicable tax) charged every 12 months until cancelled.
but further down description:
BILLING: This is a paid-for ongoing subscription and a recurring fee of $59.99 will be charged every year. Any price changes will be notified in advance.
• Recurring subscription fee: $59.99
• Billing frequency: every year
• Subscription duration: ongoing until cancelled
My guess is they forgot to remove the $59.99 part for now.

PS+ is required for playing games online. With that subscription you get 2 free games per month. (but access to them ends when your PS+ subscription ends)

Playstation Now is like a game streaming service (Think of Netflix, but for games) You can stream games to your PC, or PS4. They have a rotating catalogue of games. If you're playing on the PS4, you can download and play the PS4 library directly off your console (no need to stream) and stream PS3/PS2 games.

I'm in, that's only like 5 bucks a month. Good buy in COVID times.

Yeah it's likely back to regular price after the year because you can't stack this like Xbox game pass, and even says one promo per account.
