Control Ultimate Edition is $27 on Xbox (maybe PS4 as well)... and The Last of Us Part 2 is $40... Also, Ghost of Tsushima is discounted as well ($53.59 - not a huge discount, but the game DID just get a big update.... and it’s awesome).

EB Games has it at $40 for in-store pickup only. Hopefully it'll pop up at that price elsewhere.

Also can't even access it right now because EB can't design a competent web store that does per-item queuing

PS4 Pro performance is shockingly poor. It feels nigh-identical to the Digital Foundry video above, in spite of the game getting several patches since launch. Whether I set the game to its “Performance” or “Resolution” mode, performance is poor, with a muddy frame rate and weird random graphical issues.

Not that i want to feed this thread.
But for others here is Xander51 other review of the PS5 version should you wish to make an informed decision.
Also, noted above, there was no indication that the game was ever "unplayable" and the review notes that they have played many hours.

The Performance mode is the closest to feeling like a finished video game, though its lower quality visuals are noticeably inferior to the cleaner look of the Resolution option. The frame rate hovers up and down around 40 frames per second with plenty of screen tearing during combat.

In the Resolution mode, the game looks amazing when not moving. But while I’m actually playing it feels broken. It doesn’t come anywhere close to a stable 30 frames per second unless I look at the sky or the ground, and just stutters along as though it never received any sort of optimization.

The guy who wrote the review obviously never played the game on PS4 Pro (he admits he only tried PS4) as he also idiotically and erroneously states that "you’ll find two new rendering options in Borderlands 3’s next-gen version. The Performance mode—which prioritizes a higher framerate over a crisp resolution. The Resolution mode, on the other hand, can be left by the wayside. " when those options were already present on the 4K PS4 Pro and XB1 X 4K updates. Great newb reporting Jethro.

While I agree with everything else you said, regarding ps5 version being the same as PS4 but playable, the two new modes is still a valid statement as both modes are actually playable now. Ones a 4K/60 mode and the other is a 1080/120 mode. Both seem pretty steady based on what I played, but not sure how it holds up in busy action scenes. But well worth the $0 price tag to upgrade

Are the changes worth paying $40 for Persona 5 Royal over playing Persona 5 for free?
