I was eating at Moxies which is right across from it
on Monday.

When I was done eating at 12:30, there was a long
line up with a hulky security guard directing traffic.

Apparently, the soup was free at various times on
the first day.

I looked at the menu. A cup of seafood soup is $7.

Too rich for me!

Maybe it's a really big cup. Why else can soup be that expensive.

While I don't know much about the "soupman," I suspect his markup is no more than other restaurants, such as, say, Pickle Barrel, or Jack Astors. Also, if it's $7, ingredient cost has to be factored in, too -- seafood doesn't exactly cost 25 cents.

7$ isn't too bad if it's loaded with seafood. It's not like a 2$ can of seafood "chunky" that contains more potatoes than seafood.
