Northern Micro was recently selling this refurb tablet for $170 so The Source's price is competitive.

I wonder what's wrong with the iPod. I saw it available earlier in the day, but didnt pull the trigger because of the price difference between it and the $100 refurb one.

Hit and miss.

I've always had good luck and got items which were like new. That hasn't been the case for everyone. You can always return it if it doesn't meet your expectations.

How does the Nexus 7 hold up to similar priced tablets these days?

Stomps on anything at this price point.

+ Always gets the latest software (VERY VERY important with Android tablets)
+ FHD screen at low price point
+ quad core processor
+ great aftermarket support

- no microSD slot, 16GB is all you will ever have

Thanks. Looks like i'll be getting one, always wanted a tablet for some multimedia applications. Hopefully 16gb is enough for me.
