'Free' if you order online. They will give out a $10 discount for merchant partners. Note that, a student ID may be required at the Koodo kiosk.

I see a 10$ fee if ordered online? Where do you see it being free?

But I'm guessing you can buy the card & get the code. Open an ON # & plan. Switch to QC #. Get a store rep to switch plans (as QC plans will show) and apply the code?

Is there anyway to do this without having to go to the koodo booth ? Some folks on the $48 plan might want to avoid doing that for obvious reasons.

The conditions state it's only valid at participating locations in Canada, so probably not.

What happens after month 12? Are you grandfathered in every month with 12 additional gigs of usage on top of whatever usage you had before for life? Or do you go back to your normal usage after 12 months?

Yes, it goes back to normal usage after 12 months. But for $11.50 (with tax), getting 1GB extra for 12 months is a great deal. Plus, I can use the SPC card for shopping.

I live in Ottawa. I crossed into Gatineau and did everything at a booth there. My Ontario address was confirmed on my license. I think Koodo booths across the border are used to doing this. And if any problem - you could just lie and say you're moving to QC soon or studying there etc.

I went straight to Gatineau to have this done because the Koodo reps in Ottawa are VERY against doing these kind of plans. I went to the booth, talked about the $49 plan; mentioned SPC. I went to a shop, bought the SPC card, activated it online on my phone - went back to the Koodo booth and the rep there did everything for me.

The SPC card bonus MUST be done at the same time as activation of a new plan.

If you have a 5 GB per month plan, you get 6 GB per month. It doesn’t go from 1 GB to 12 GB.

Does anybody know how this promo works? My gf tried activating a new plan ($40) at WOW during their iPhone SE deal (self referral, trade-in credit, bonus gift card) and they couldn't get the SPC code to work. They even took it to the Koodo kiosk directly and they couldn't get the code to work either.

The manager at the WOW kiosk suggested all she can do is file a complaint with the government and wait for Koodo to contact her back loll

She's going to try and call Koodo and see if they can apply this promo but from what I understand, it can only be done in person at a kiosk AND only the the time of activation correct?

Is there any reason why she couldn't get the promo applied?

Am having the same issue. Did you have any luck ? Did koodo call you ? Problem is am not getting the same deal anywhere except wow. Which city did you shop from? Can I talk to the same manager and see what I should do to get this promo added? Am from Toronto btw.
