[Sport Chek] 50x Bonus Triangle CT Money Fitbit Versa Lite Inspire HR May 2-15

Bonus 50X CT money on select Fitbit trackers May 2-15 at Sport Chek. They also have bonus 20x to 30x CT Money on Friday May 3 - Saturday May 4 when purchased with the Triangle or Triangle World Elite Mastercard.

Example: Fitbit Inspire HR Fitness Tracker $129.99
Bonus 50X CT Money: $26.00
Paying with Triangle Mastercard during their Triangle Bonus Days May 3 - 4 30X CT Money: $15.60
Total CT Money: $41.60

Copy and paste link.

See this thread below for reference when they had the Apple Watch 4 for same bonus event. Some people did not get the bonus 20-30X after the 5 weeks. Might be better to purchase in store to get it.

Oh, good one--I have a few things to get, combined with the employee costing for the Mother's Day Run promo here in Calgary, I'm hoping they'll be paying me to buy some goods...

For just 10x extra to pay with credit card, probably better off getting gift card at 15% off and pay with that. It's on at Rcss I think?
So it's 50x +20x?

That would be better, but I don't see it in the flyer. Any link or reference?

It's actually Rexall.

I've been trying to place an order on their website for the past half hour. Tried multiple browsers... anyway I gave up and called them.

Turns out, their website is broken and will NOT accept gift cards as payment.

According to the rep I spoke to this has been going on since yesterday and there's currently no ETR. The rep can't even process the orders manually because they just do it through the website themselves.

would you mind clarifying why the 15% off Gift cards is better than using a CC (Triangle WE)? CT points always confused me when they do these sort of promotions.

thanks so much,

thanks so much,
Here is my math for the Fitbit Versa Lite ($200 + tax = $226). Biggest mistake people make is that you can still use the normal triangle points card to collect points with any other payment method, including gift cards I think.

With Gift Cards:
Buy fitbit with $226 in gift cards which actually cost $226*85%= $192.10. Receive 50x points for fitbit purchases + 20x points for using triangle points card = 70 x 0.4% x $200 (no points on tax..I think?) = $56 back in CT money. Total cost = $192.10 - $56 = 136.10 all in

With Triangle WE MC:
Buy fitbit on MC for $226. Receive 50x points for fitbit purchases + 30x points for using triangle mastercard = 80 x 0.4% x $200 = $56 back in CT money. Total cost = $226 - $64 = $162 all in

TL;DR - The extra 10x points for using CC is worth less than 15% off of the GCs. Also the 15% off applies to the taxes as well.

Edit - Clarity

Is it possible to buy GC at Rexall and use them in Sportchek in person to maximize the benefit? Thanks.

Yep. I just wanted to point out to anyone who was going to buy online with a gift card to get GCR/Ebates that it's not currently possible.

Great thanks, just asking it is GC discount 15% plus 20X Triangle points, I have Canadian tire card and Triangle rewards card so the max I can get is 20X right about 4%, are they giving 50X on Apple Watch as well, not sure if my maths is correct?

Thanks!

Wife grabbed an inspire HR in BC. 145.55 after tax and $36.91 back in CT money (only had the triangle app no credit card). Had some GCs lying around from an older 15% off.

Ugh. They limit you to two gift cards. Stupid SportChek. Now it isn't as lucrative since I have to pay the remaining balance by credit card.
