[Sport Chek] 50x Triangle points on Apple Watch 4 Mar 14-20

Deal had been posted before on the Apple 3/4 watches, but this deal is Apple Watch 4 specifically. Also on "select" models according to the ad, but website does show it available on Nike versions as well. 50x Triangle equates to 20% off. Compound with Ebates at 4% cash back and if you happen to have any of the Sport Chek gift cards at 15-20% lying around (maybe plus a CT Triangle MC with another 4% back), this is a great deal. Likely not to see a run on these like at other sales as it's just for Triangle holders and means it's points to use on future purchases, not an upfront % off. Still don't see many deals on the Watch 4.

Edit: Sport Chek is also running a bonus Triangle reward Friday March 15 and Saturday March 16. 20x Triangle points with rewards card or 30x with the CT MasterCard. I called in and the deal is stackable with he 50x on the watch. So, translates to 28% off or 32% off. I had originally put in an order today, but cancelled and will do it tomorrow.

Update Edit: For those who ordered, a few things to mention:
1. CT points don't show up until the item ships/is charged to your credit card, NOT at the time the order is placed
2. Have now confirmed with both Sport Chek and Triangle that the points do stack
3. Will likely only see the 50x points show up right away when ships
4. Bonus 20x/30x will show up within 5 weeks - so pay attention to your account
5. If bonus points don't show, will need to call in and get this adjusted

I wonder if this would stack with the 30x points event happening this weekend? That would make this a really good deal

I’m curious if it would stack with the 30x as well using the CT credit card. I believe if you read through the last thread on this, some were able to get stacked (so +$200 back in CT money). I’d imagine that CT/Triangle would have this figured out and it would be an either/or kind of deal. The 50x is on the watch specifically, so it’s a crap shoot if the system would also give you the 30x.

It stacked the last time (in December), for a total of 80x (32%). For the 44mm, about $170/180 back in points (forgot the exact number)

Really? That’s interesting. So, tomorrow and Saturday one would get 50x + 20x with just the Triangle (another 10x with the MasterCard)?

Hmm tempting, but gonna hold off and stock up on GC the next time they go on sale somewhere, then pounce next time this comes around.

How did you get 30x buying with gift card? It's usually 30x if you use your Mastercard, 20x otherwise.

I'm sorry but can someone explain how does this translate to savings?....I'm missing it obviously.
Can I use the CT points towards the purchase of the watch?..
How does this work...sorry again!

It’s basically a 0.4% x (50x) = ~20% cash back on the money you spend on the watch. Therefore, you don’t get a discount on initial purchase, rather you gain the points “CT money” for future purchases and you can redeem them at atmosphere, Canadian tire, sportchek

Even when I have paid a portion with a GC, the cash back has been calculated on the pre tax price and not on what was actually charged to the MC.
EG:
AW4 GPS @ 559 plus 5% tax (Alberta) = 586.95
Paid with $500 gift card and balance of 86.95 on Triangle MC
Total Cash back (to spend at later date): $201.24
Base Point: 4% of 559 = $22.36
50X: $111.80
30X: $67.08
So theoretically AW4 GPS cost 586.95 - 201.24 = $385.71
Plus Ebates and if GC was purchased earlier at 20% off - even better

Best buy price match wont work for this, as it is points cash back? Right?
