Adidas advertises these shoes as sports lifestyle shoes. Are these still good for running?

Ultraboosts are technically classified as running shoes, but I find them too soft to use in sports. They're a great walking and lifestyle shoe though which is what most of RFD wears these shoes for.

Personally I have found you can get a good pair of Asics for less that will be much better for your feet. Just keep in mind different series of their shoes are for different structure or feet / gait.

You can run in these but other then being lightweight I've never liked the support profile. I'm speaking generally though and haven't tried this exact model. For me if it doesn't have reinforced arches and a strong heel wall then its not really for running.

I don't think I would be playing court sports in these, they don't look like they have any significant rigidity or support for your ankle.

If you're playing casual volleyball they are fine. I've been playing outdoor court in them all winter now and they've worked well for me. I also have played a couple months worth of ball hockey in them, and no complaints.

Theyre more for walking/every day wear. They're too soft and don't offer a lot of support for sports where you need to quickly change directions. One of the most comfortable waking shoes though.

Don't know about volleyball, but definitely not basketball. These are not made to be stable laterally at all, and you won't find much needed lockdown on your feet on these either.

anything with side to side movement isnt the best for sure. I haven't worn previous interations but I find mine is mildy annoying to put on as it's very tight near at the ankle

If you want to roll your ankle very easily, then by all means lol

I got an older version of these for indoor volleyball and they are great

These go for 50% off at adidas from time to time. So can be had for $125 2-3 times a year.

Preference to ultraboost "DNA" for being able to slip on/off without having to use my hands (required for the tongue design and tighter fitting UB22s). Makes RFD hauling simpler
