[Sport Chek] Apple Watch Series 5 - 20% back in bonus CT points + 4% back for using Triangle MC + 2 % back Rakuten

Apple Watch 6 is just around the corner so finally starting to see deals on Apple Watch 5. This is not great, but the best I've noticed so far....
50x Bonus CT money on Apple Watch Series 5 (=20%)
4% CT Money for using Triangle MC
+ use Rakuten for an extra 2%
I think for the most expensive 44 mm with LTE ($699.99) it works out to this
Pay $783.99 including 12% tax
Get $168 back in CT money
Get $15.68 back in Rakuten cash
Final price paid if you will use the CT money = $600.31 taxes in.

well this should be interesting:

S5 44mm GPS (not the cellular) $569 * 1.13 tax = 643

20x CT money this weekend when using your CT rewards card = 8%*569 = $45.52
sport-chek-atmosphere-triangle-bonus-da ... 9-2398989/

50x CT money on apple watch = 20%*569 = $113.80
2% rak = 2%*569 =$11.38

and pay for the purchase with sportchek giftcards that you buy at canadian tire on sale at 15% off (ends today) = $643*.15 = $96.45 off

total: $643 - 96.45 (by paying with gift cards) - 45.52 - 113.80 - 11.38 = $375.83

After you buy the gift cards, you must go to a sportchek to combine them into one giftcard because ordering from sportchek online will only take 1 or 2 gift cards. Or forget about rak and just buy it in store and pay $11.38 more. sportchek employee might give you hassle for combining gift cards, but most staff are really good about it.

Don’t they just give you 50x which is the better promo? Not the 20x and 50x?

Anyone confirm?

I got my Series 5 44mm Nike GPS from SportChek when it was on
$60 discount 3 months ago, I paid $570 ($509+tax) with tax and got $50 in CT money as Triangle signup offer.

I think $60 upfront discount was a better deal.

Does anyone know if I would still be eligible for 30x CT Money if I pay using my friends Triangle Credit Card?

Not unless your friend is willing to give you the bonus CT back in cash or something. Based on my experience, the rewards card is already linked to the Triangle credit card so whoever owns the credit card will receive the CT money.

He probably just pays his friends cash after CTM deductions

Yep I should have said the 30x bonus CT money will be awarded to the credit card holder and then it is up to mechfreak and his friend how to work out the payment between them.

Great deal but I don't have triangle rewards or their Mastercard and don't shop a lot at CT and affiliates.
I guess I'll wait for staples to make their move.. Face With Tears Of Joy
