Why are these very expensive?

I'm only seeing the 50% off on a few Arc'teryx products, maybe less than half of the product line is discounted.

As a rule, Arc'teryx doesn't believe they can make a jacket under $400 (give or take) so they don't, but in exchange you get top-of-the-line outerwear backed by a lifetime warranty.

It just means you have to do your research and find out which piece will best suite your needs. Great find OP! Was looking to pick up the Dually Belay...

To be fair, I like to refer to it as a 'Common Sense Warranty', if you use their casual mittens to go ice climbing and destroy them it's unlikely they will. Just use the gear for it's intended purpose, take a photo of the receipt and you're set.

Doesn't Sporting Life tend to jack up the prices to begin with though? Don't get me wrong, 50% is great, but if they tend to have higher retail prices to begin with...
Tis banana is IRIE

10% off is cold, 50% off is warm, 75% off is hot, but FREE IS RFD!

They are great jackets, period. They look good (most of the time) and the quality is up there too. And Arc'teryx is a Canadian company, which is nice too.
