Seems like they are true fit - large means large.

I am wondering why is Gotham III jacket so popular in RFD but not this McMurdo parka, I think this one is a lot warmer

I'm 6ft 180 pounds, not sure if I should go for the medium or large.

I'm around the same height/weight as you and I would take the Large, just to have room to layer underneath.

I'm 6'1" 210lb and had a large
That being said, I have the EB Superior Down Parka as well and IMHO it is made much better and keeps it's loft for longer.
The NF does seem to have a tougher outer fabric though.

same. I tried both on before I made my choice and really preferred the mcmurdo.

Thanks for this. I initially passed because on the north face website this gets a 2/3 for warmth and the Gotham gets a 3/3 for warmth, which I didn't understand. Seems to go the opposite way on your website.

I recently bought a Helly Hansen Nordsjo parka and I quickly realized that, while it's nice and warm if you spend a lot of time outside, it's too bulky and cumbersome for every day use when you just step in/out of the car to work or run errands. I kept the parka, but also bought a Gotham III jacket after that, when it was on sale recently. And now I mostly wear the jacket.
