i think i will do the same. i ended up buying a snowboard/binding at sporting life a couple of years ago.. but didn't have to line up to get it. Looking for a new snowboard bag though. Hope there are some deals in store at local sport chek.eclone wrote: ↑ mall locations you can line up inside. I went last year to sherway 1.5hr early and there were already prob 300 in line. never again.
Edit - i went to sportschek in sherway instead and no line up and picked up a arcteryx jacket for 20+10+no tax off. My wife stayed at sporting life for the tnf 50 off and had to line up for another hr to pay lol no thanks

I feel like they changed it this year since on the site it states *exterior store entrance only. Maybe they ran into problems in previous years?eclone wrote: ↑ mall locations you can line up inside. I went last year to sherway 1.5hr early and there were already prob 300 in line. never again.

Over 30 lined up at Yorkdale already.
Edit one: over 40 now
Edit two: over 50 now. Don’t bother coming here.
Edit three: about 70 now
Ok easily over 100 now

It’s indoors there is no outdoor exit for this sporting life and the mall opened its doors.WhatADeal! wrote: ↑ Wow, you're early. Is the lineup indoor or outdoor?

No point going to Hillcrest, there must be more than 500 lining up already.

Dude what's the parking situation at Dorkdale? Are the lots filled up w/over sized SUVs yet?

Ok gift cards were actually gift cards. You can stack them. I saw people get the gift cards and leave, which is terrible. SL might change this in the future.
My husband got two Timberland original boots for $126 inc tax. But they were very low in stock as he was the first one there to get the boots and those two were the last in sizes 9.5 to 10.

Sure your logic is sound but the optics are terrible. How would you think this would work if the first 100 people got their GC and all left?
It incentivizes people to just grab and go, instead of the GCs being an extra gift to Boxing Day shoppers.
