SportingLife.ca - Offering FREE SHIPPING on all orders with no minimum required. Ends Sunday July 26.
Good time to buy those single items that were previously under the $99 Threshold.

spoke with customer service they mentioned *some restrictions apply (seems to be only regarding rural delivery areas and overweight products)
*In some cases there may be an Additional Area Surcharge on your parcel. This is a shipping charge determined by UPS and is based on the destination of the shipment. If your order is shipping to a location that has an Area Surcharge, a Sporting Life Customer Service Representative will contact you. In some cases there may be a delay in your shipment as UPS may outsource your order to Canada Post or other couriers.

I've had the worst time with online shopping from Sporting Life. No updates for days, long delays till shipping (2+ weeks), receiving notices after a week that the item is no longer is stock... I'm done shopping online with them.

X2 dont bother ordering from sporting life.

The inventory on the website sits on the store shelves, and by the time they process your order (2 weeks) the item you ordered is long gone.

My experience with them has only been dissapointment.

I too have had bad experience with this site. Bought a Canada Goose item and asked for information on it in their live chat. The live chat associate seem uninterested and unwilling to help. I asked if they had a particular model in stock, they then proceeded to check the website and told me that yes they had it in stock. I could have done this myself. I asked once again to make sure that it was the exact one shown on the website and they said yes. I ordered the item and it was stuck in "processing order" for 2 weeks because they were searching all their stores for the item. When the item finally arrived (about 3 weeks later) it was not the one pictured on the website like the associate had said. Returned it and got my money back in about 2 weeks. I asked for a discount on another product because the item was meant for a Christmas gift but did not even get a courtesy reply. Horrible service. Stay away.

Buy from altitude-sports.com for 5% membership discount and only 5% Alberta tax.
Or do what I did last week buying from moosejaw.com. They have some Canada Goose at 40% off, also an additional 15% off coupon. Got a Canada Goose Trenton Jacket for $270 and picked up in the US. After currency conversion was $350, no problems going across border, much better than the $525 +12% tax here.

EDIT: I didn't realize that OP is a representative from SportingLife. It's not too late to make amends, there is a Canada Goose item I'm looking at :p

My mistake, must have been the email form then. Still not an excuse to give me the wrong information when they had the time to go on the floor and do a visual.

they have never had live chat...

Iv'e ordered numerous times off them, there have been some orders that had canceled items, I speak with a customer service rep and they help me replace it or offer discount. It happens.. This has also happened with other sites I have ordered from as well and other sites don't offer anything.

I'm pretty sure you work for them just by looking at all your started threads. Besides, how is this a deal? Every competitor's website has free shipping as the norm.

Edit: I will say however, I had 1 positive experience with this site. My brother ordered a previous year's medium Arcteryx Atom LT hoody and was shipped a XXL. We spoke to service rep and they offered the current model for the price plus $15. Should have been a straight offer but whatever. Based on other people's negative experiences, I would say it is best to just beware buying from them.

How can OP blatantly spam these forums for years with no repercussions?

Anyways just to chime in and agree with everyone who posted on here. Remember if you need to return something it's store credit only, no cash refunds if you buy something on sale...yes in 2015 if you buy a piece of clothing you have never tried online and it doesn't fit you can't return for a reimbursement. I've been sitting on a store credit for months with nothing to buy since i refuse to buy overpriced items.

I agree with others posts: "Free shipping" isn't even remotely a competitive incentive to buy from SL considering there are multiple Canadian vendors I can name that already offer free shipping with a much lower minimum-price requirement (some don't even have a minimum requirement).

That being said, I've ordered a couple times off SL and I've never had an order be cancelled, but keep in mind the stuff I order isn't a super popular item or size. They definitely take at least a few days before they even update you on shipping status.

I hate most of all how the sizes shown on the website aren't immediately updated if the item sells in-store. And why do they keep showing products that are completely sold out of all sizes? You force me to click the item because the search function says this item has my size, but when I reach the page and click the drop-down menu, there's no sizes left whatsoever. Stupid way to get people's hopes up and disappoint them.

I once bought a pair of shoes from their clearance bin online and it came damaged, with a sticker clearly marking it as defective. It was hilarious and angering at the same time how they could fk up that badly.

Sporting Life can definitely improve with their online orders.

hijacking thread really quick for a rant: Why is it so hard to find cheap split short (<3 inch) shorts? I don't get why longer "shorts" with more material cost less, and short shorts are pretty much nonexistent in the sub 50-80 dollars category. I just wanna show off my beautiful quads without spending a ridiculous amount for it

You only get store credit or exchanges if the item is over 30% off. Even then the store credit never expires
