SportsChek Spend $100, get $20 GC

"Spring Gift Card Promotion"

Was in SportsChek on 8th Ave last night. If I spent $100, they gave me a $20 GC valid until May 30th. If you are just shy of $100 (ie, $99.97, etc.) you can opt to donate a dollar to their charity to hit your $100.

Does the gift certificate require you to make additional purchases, or is it an actual gift certificate?

It's like a gift card you would get at Tim Horton's for a future purchase. I don't think you can use it on the same transaction as the 100 bucks. Split up your purchase if you can! :)

I was in Sportchek on Sunday buying my son goalie equipment. Now, maybe because of the size of the order, and prospect of a large commission, they allowed me to ring in each piece of equipment separately. After each $100 spent, they issued me a different gift card.

On the very last piece of equipment, the most expensive (pads), they used all the gift cards. Quite a deal.

Note: Also, due to the size of the order, they offered me an additional 10% if I bought everything at once. Needed to speak to the manager though..

So to clarify, there is no min purchase? It can be used like cash?

Nope. When I was in the store, I specifically asked if there were any restrictions. The back of the card does not say there's a min. price you need to use the gift card.

I got this card. Any idea if it can be used at Sport Mart? Same parent company.
