I signed up on Wednesday and received my code Friday. Perhaps the weekend slowed things down a bit.

This really is Spotify’s fault, they should have made it so new users have to stay with the service for say 6 months.

True, but I don't think they really care. They are getting thousands of new paid subscribers, some of whom will stay and keep paying. And Google eats the promo costs, so it just free new money for Spotify. If they'd required 6 months, they would have had far fewer signups. And for Google, whether you signed up with Spotify for a day, a month or a year, it's all the same to them as far as data sources.
2015 wins: Trip for 2 to NYC with airfare, limo, hotel and insurance ($3700); Maple Leafs tickets($250); 32GB HTC One M9 ($700), Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1($200), Samsung Galaxy Note 5($850), Aukey 2 port fast car charger($23), Fitbit Flex ($120), Blue Piston Bluetooth Speaker ($30). 2016 wins: nada

if u have gmail/google account log in on ur device/PC, it adds the code to that account when you click the link.
Yes its kind of lame cuz you would log in to your spotify but it adds the code to whatever Google account is logged in on the device at the time. When you try to then redeem it on the actual google account you want to redeem,it wont recognize the code or said its already redeemed (on your other google account)

They shouldn't be abusing this promo. People need to think of others and let people try to get one Google home mini.

Whats the solution then - contact Google or Spotify?

You were able to cancel an order and reuse the promo code instead for another colour? I woulda thought the code woulda been invalid

Yeah this is news, unless it was because he was the one cancelling the order not a result of fraud detection algorithm cancelling it.

Those with voided orders might want to try their codes one more time.

Yep I contacted Google just to make sure and they said just cancel your order and wait maybe 1 hour before re using the link to select the color you want again. Cause if you try to reuse the link right away after cancelling the order it would say you've reached your limit
