Is Spray foam insulation to existing drywall anyone good?

Looking for suggestions
Assuming there is an existing drywall in finished basement, is spray foam insulation worthit any good?
If I'm looking for both thermal and sound insulation through spray foam, what exactly do you recommend?
Of course I'm trying to identify all possible gaps,etc and trying to seal them.
Any recommendations or contact for good spray foam company?
