Squarespace vs. Wix

Anyone have feedback on these 2 in terms of making a website from scratch? I'm a complete n00b so not sure how hard it is, to make a decent looking site. Anyone has a n00b and made a basic website with like 5 pages? Feel free to post the link here too.

Website to do what? Are you selling something?

both are solid template sites if you are just doing static content. if you want to buy a domain though I recommend doing it from another site like namecheap.

I'm also an aspiring developer looking to learn new skills. I'd be happy to build something for you!

Shopify is good if you want to use the free templates but if you want to make changes you need to understand liquid as templates aren't just based off CSS, HTML and Javascript.

Either if you don't need to sell anything. If you want to sell stuff I would second the Shopify recommendation.

Both are solid (I use Wix) but they will only become as good as what you make out of them. It takes a lot of work and active maintenance to have a good website.

Do not underestimate the power of a good website.
