[Staples] $180 - ASUS RT-AC86U AC2900 Dual Band Gigabit WiFi Router

Not the lowest, but a low price, currently $260 on Amazon and different retailers!

Solid router for this price!

Yes, you can.

"If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, return it within 30 days (computers, laptops, tablets, eReaders, smart/cell phones and unopened drones within 14 days) in saleable condition in its original packaging (including UPC code, manual, parts and your receipt or packing slip) for a full refund or replacement"

How is this one compare to the AC68U AC1900 and the AC66U B1 AC1750 ?
I'm actually using my videotron routeur (I have 400mbps) and I ordered an AC66U B1 AC1750 that I will receive soon.

I'm a noobie regarding routers, so don't be mean Grinning Face With Smiling Eyes

Very very very noticeable improvement from the AC68U and AC66U B1

The real question should be: "Should I get the AC86U or the AX58U?"

- in some situations, the AX58U may be better
- in most other situations, the AC86U will be better

(and nobody should waste their money and time on the neutered AX56U)

get the AC86U because its a better router right now.

get a Asus wifi 6 router later when the prices come down and more devices support the standard. Then use the AC86u as a node in AImesh

Is anyone else getting their orders cancelled? I've placed 4 orders and each one came back cancelled. They process my cc and then they just reimburse right afterwards

Is this for in-store pick up or for delivery? During the last sale, all my in-store pick up orders were cancelled - I tried 3 times at different stores before giving up and going delivery which was shipped pretty quickly.

I have no idea why Staples won't send me coupons. I've signed up for their newsletter, but still nothing.

Any $15off coupon some kind soul could PM me? My current router keeps crapping out on me. Please and thank you.

Hmm, this is very tempting! I currently own a 68U that I’ve bought when they first came out running Merlin cfw but I’ve got Shaw 600mbps and stream a lot of 4K content. Gonna try this out to see if I notice any improvements as I find my router has occasional slowdowns and have to reboot it every now and then.

So basically, only buy Asus routers with an 8?
