No wonder I didn't see this eco fee. Does Doug Ford get rid of eco fee for TV also?

I tried the 15% off in store coupon at 2 stores in Alberta, did not work, the first store I dealt with the store manager, she was extremely unpleasant and would not go any farther than the "not working" because it "excludes technology", the second store pretty much the same except the clerk was more pleasant about it.
Same with my store in Central BC . He branded the monitor as technology.

The 20% off $300 in-store coupon should work at the Lougheed Hwy Burnaby Staples location.

LOL did you point out in the disclaimer section it did not specifically include monitors as technology? If that's the case, try ordering it online for in-store pickup?

It did not work the people I dealt with because they are the creators of these rules and would not listen to any other reasoning or disclaimers, like I said in my last post, it was extremely unpleasant experience.

The disclaimer section mentions items "such as" , meaning to me examples and not inclusive items. Instead of arguing , I just ordered online with the $20 off coupon . It freed up some time to gather cold beer to watch the hockey game tonight .

They didn't allow me to use 15% and 20% off coupons in store because it's for "tech" items only. However, I did show them the coupons and they read the fine print, I should've asked them to just input the barcode number without showing the coupon terms and conditions.

This was at Bridgeport Staples in Richmond, BC.

It most definitely is.

True 4k/30fps at 15mbps? Just do the math, feel free to correct me where I'm wrong.

From what yourself saying, each 4k frame is 15mbps/30fps (megabits are 1/8 a megabyte) in size? Either you buffer like crazy (if it is true 4k), or youtube significantly downsamples its "4k"... I don't know enough to say exactly what's happening, but one actual 4k frame is DEFINITELY not only 0.5mb (or 1/16 of a megabyte) in size without some algorithmic skullduggery happening.

I can upsample a *single pixel* to be 4k in resolution on YouTube (and it would show 2160p in the stats), but that it doesn't make it true 4k.

Is there any consensus as to the best settings? I tried the second setting on the first page of the thread and it looks pretty good but I am not sure if it is ideal or not. I am going to try the first one now.

This monitor is a hell of a lot bigger than my old 24" damn . . .it is going to take a bit of getting used to considering I am sitting a bit more than two and a half feet from it.

My local store just scanned the code. Without asking any question. -60$ no question asked.
If Staples wanted these code not to work in store, they would flag these coupons like the onlines. They would be denied after the scan or manual input.
Sorry about your bad experience. Not sure why would a manager care if the coupon scans ok or not.
It's not like the money is coming from their margin. These are country wide promotions.
Staples Canada refund them the money.
