I just finished calibrating my monitor with a Spyder4Pro. Hooked up to a late 2013 MacBook Pro.

I was able to achieve 100% SRGB with the following settings

Mode: User
Gamma: 2.2
Brightness 23 (100 cd/m2)
Rgain: 63
Ggain: 44
Bgain: 44

Colour Temp was measured to 6514k

I didn't bother calibrating for the other colour spaces as I never use them.

I think that covers everything.

Hope that helps.

Order this monitor yesterday, and picked it up 10 minutes before closing. Took it home set it up and of course it was DOA. No Acer Splash Screen, No OSD, nothing. Had to exchange it this morning. Second unit works great! My only complaint is the buttons on the back. They are brutal to use.

The first set of calibration settings worked great for me, the 2nd (Above) were way to red.

Anyone know what that stubby bit that screws into the left side of the monitor is for?

I didn't even know that it had this feature and audio out... it's the small things that really make this monitor nicer.

How do you switch between audio from headphones when plugged in and the audio from monitor's speakers? It's a hassle to have to plug in the headphones into the monitor's audio in jack every time you want to use it...

How does this compare to? u2715H in terms of bang for buck?

Would be using mostly for work in spreadsheets/powerpoint and movies etc.

I use a program called soundswitch, that allows you to use a hotkey to switch between sound outputs. So you can switch between your monitor speakers and the audio out of your PC(Where you would plug your headphones in).

Just wondering is this good for ps4? Just picked one up and looking to get a monitor too but not sure if this is overkill for a casual gamer. Was originally thinking if getting more of a budget monitor but 32" is tempting.

I'm currently using it with PS4, works great. I would recommend an HDMI switcher though as well and the speakers aren't amazing but they're not terrible either.

Do you though? The cheapest 4K proper monitor was at $423 pre-Black Friday (it was a fire sale at 43") ... however it had a slower refresh. The question then comes, would you notice the difference given how far you'd sit away... possibly. Another question... could you comfortably game on 4K with an Xbox X or PS4 Pro? On an X, you could, but the X supports 1440p at much better frame rates. Finally, what benefit are you looking to derive from 4K that you wouldn't get from 1440p at this stage in tech evolution? Marginally sharper image perhaps?

The best compromise at 32" in 2018 remains a gamer-friendly 75hz 1440p panel such as this one.

Let's you and I chat in November 2019 when 4K monitors are more common... and less expensive.

Thank you! I know I should have read the manual/set up instructions, but I never do. Now I can get my Jabra headset off my desk...
