coming from a 24" BenQ monitor. This monitor is HUUUGE. Anyone know of a good settings I can use for calibration?

The custom file in the first page did not work for me sadly.

I looked at the floor model, this is a very ugly monitor, very dim too. Has the build quality you’d expect from acer, very fat imo. Cheap plastic.
Would definitely look much nicer with brushed aluminium all around and with dark anodized steel round trim and gorilla glass, but hey, too bad you can not afford it for $300.

Not sure what kind of environment you were in but I found it quite bright, had to turn brightness down to 50 at home. It is a great monitor only thing is I wish it was hdmi 2.0.

Didn’t work / didn’t install. The setting wouldn’t apply.

Just bought one. Now need to find a video card for it. I don't play game on it. Which video card is good for this monitor and reasonable price? Thanks.

Did you see this monitor in person at the store? its actually quite a poor looking panel when compared; the specs definitely outweigh the panel though.
think first, buy later.

Definite eye of the beholder factor here.

This panel is no QLED 1000 nit monster, but we're spending $300 or less... not $1200.

just sayin lots of VA panels at staples looked way better, not sure why you're bringing QLED into this. but if you like it thats cool I guess, like you said; to each their own.

try again
download displaycal https://displaycal.net/
download the profile made by "Chewysc" staples-acer-et322qu-31-5-wqhd-ips-75hz ... #p29884249
load the setting to displaycal and apply
and then follow his settings

after loading that profile, you probably won't see any difference.

If you want to use freeSync. then entry level RX550 is fine

Picked one up today, compared to my old 24" 1080p (Gateway, quite old...FHX2402L?) this is much nicer.

I had 3 monitors of the Gateway monitors, when I just plugged in the HDMI cable it wasn't getting me up to 1440p (the resolution option wasn't even available in the Windows menu), only 1080p. Turns out it was due to my HDMI to mini-DP adapter; once I went direct HDMI from the monitor to the GPU it allowed up to 1440p at 60hz.

R9 270x doesn't support FreeSync but I was planning to get a better GPU this week for BF anyways. Honestly given some of the other mentions on this thread I was a bit worried, but it's totally up to my standards. Doesn't feel cheap at all (to me!).

What is the thing with HDMI 2.0? I’m planning to buy it tomorrow

The only thing is with Xbox One X I believe it is preventing me from using the freesync feature while at 1440p? I think the freesync only works through DP. Not really a big issue as most Xbox games don't support freesync.

Fair enough. I don't have an answer. The Xbox X does look fantastic at 1440p on 32", it's also healthier for fps.

No where on the Acer website does it say this is an IPS panel...what gives?
I can confirm that it says "IPS" among other specs on the box, which btw is way bigger than I expected

Omission is not contradiction. Notice the 'IPS' peppered through the search listings below, it's not one large conspiracy I assure you.
