Gen 1 is $119 at Costco, and $115 with Edu. No one pays $130.

Would be a warm deal if you can get any sort of $10-15 Staples coupon on this.

It is quite expensive. However, if one intends to use iPad for digital arts such as drawing, Apple Pencil probably is a must-have. And it is not very likely it will sell for less than this price.

There are plenty of $30 stylus pen at Amazon which are compatible with iPad, but they are not nearly as good as Apple Pencil.

Thanks for the encouragement. Maybe people think it is still too expensive, which it is.

But it makes it much easier to use iPad for drawing, note taking, etc. I think it is a worthwhile accessory despite its high price.
