Sale price without coupon shows at $199 so how you getting to $179 with $10 off coupon?

I have three of these setup at work in a mesh network and one at home. Pretty solid routers but ocassionally do need to reboot them on stock firmware. (lose access to the network share via USB).

Good router. That said, if you don't need routing capabilities then get an Access Point. Cheaper and far better for WiFi. I receive the TP LINK EAP 245. Only $99 reg price.

Thanks OP, time to retire my old Netgear.

Picked one up and will see if there are any cheaper deals for Black Friday. The $10 off code you posted was good for $20 off.

Edit: don't forget Rakuten for 1% cash back.

Is the AX86U worth the price difference or will this suffice?

I have this routeur and it covers all 3 levels and the backyard and gives me 130Mbs internet speed on my phone (my max internet speed) wherever i am. I can't answer your question, but i can say it's plenty enough for our needs

I've had this router for 2 years now. I love Asus routers and never had problems with them till this one.

It randomly refuses to connect either 2.4ghz or 5ghz connections from all devices. It happens maybe once every 2-3 months.

I've tried resetting, merlin firmware, etc, but the issue always comes back.

I've now scheduled a weekly reboot of the router and that seems to help.

I got this earlier this year and HIGHLY recommend it - one of my best purchases and it blows my D-Link out of the water. Dead spots and dropouts are a thing of the past. One of my security cameras used to disconnect/reconnect multiple times a day and this solved it. Was going to go the more expensive route of a full mesh setup but decided that was overkill. Can expand this with AI Mesh as needed in the future.

Got this router back in march. 1700sqft home full coverage throughout. Just mildly weaker on 2nd floor in the opposite corners but still works well. Have multiple smart devices and cameras connected without issue.

I stole the coupon code from a user that said it was $10 off and provided the code. Perhaps it was $20 OFF over $100? not sure but when I put the code in there it came out to 20 off lol

I guess I'll update my post to say $20 off coupon

I had bought one of these as RFD seems to love them, but I had nothing but problems. Maybe I got a dud, but the range was real short and the speeds would drop a lot vs my Nighthawk.

man,, go get it , think about later. this is really good router, it definitely can cover 3000+ home if you put it relative center of your home and on the first floor.

thanks OP. How is this compare to a Netgear R7000 ? Having some random disconnection issues but not 100% sure if it is related to the 5 yr old router or not, 'feel' like it's time to buy a new one :)
Thank you in advance for your help !
