[Staples] BENQ GW2480 24" IPS , VESA, Speakers, $104.99

Great deal on an awesome IPS monitor. Use the staples code 71400 for $25 off to bring the price down to $104.99!

LOL I like this title. Throwing as much shade on the other $100 monitor deals as possible.

I'm gonna say that this one is better. VESA, build quality (I own similar LG IPS and they kind of feel flimsy), and power connector differences are big plusses for me.

Finally! A cheap VESA monitor!
Really wanted to wait for the sub $100 mark, but this is close enough.
Bought 4 with 4 separate orders.
Thanks OP!

Edit: just noticed that there's a small pertruding piece of plastic in the middle of the bottom bezel. I hope that's not going to obstruct a 2x2 monitor layout... ugh.

I did this on 3x of the same IPS I mentioned earlier, Staples called me and told me they will let it go this time, but that they put some sort of flag on my account that so that I can't order multiples of the same product with coupons again or something. I mitigate this now by shipping to different addresses, or shipping everything from staples to the office.

Hopefully they don't kick up a fuss about your order.

Thanks for the heads up.
I almost used the $75 off $500 coupon, but the RFDer in me kicked in and told me to save that extra $25...
Hopefully I won't get any issues with the order.

FYI, the BenQ GW series is not geared for gaming.

I think that's the ambient light sensor.

Depends what kind of games. GW series, with the exception of GW2765HT and probably a few others, have some of the lowest input delay. If you play rhythm or fighting games, this is more important than high refresh rates.

I'll just ramble here about input delays. The older model (GW2450) measured at 10ms input delay on the displaylag website database. Most monitors from other brands seem to average 30ms+. The larger the monitor, the higher the delay usually gets though. One more side note is input delay is rarely advertised in monitor specs. You'll have to research it separately. It's different from response time.

My math tells me that this $110 and not $105?
Price shows $135 - $25 = $110.
Also this has 5-6ms response time and I'm pretty sure it is 60Hz.
This would be a much better gaming monitor.

Could try flipping it depending what vesa mount you use that way the top row has the ambient light sensor at the top.

every page in a staples thread.... use a unique email the coupon works fine.

No the monitor is 129.99 not 135 so OP's math is correct.

Jesus, another monitor. I just bought the $75 staples one for my office.

Would this one be better? I do not need to VESA mount it, nor do I need a speaker...

Guess I kinda answered my question, but would love feedback

That is an excellent idea...
As long as I can get the display settings right, I will definitely give this a try. Thanks!

Yes, it's $110 after the coupon.
I think OP omitted the $5 ECO fee.

I think this monitor is good.

But i got the ACER 24 inch monitor (VP248GQL), when it was on sale during black friday for 139 - 25 coupon, 130 in total with taxes (compared to 119, for this one)
- https://www.staples.ca/products/2935015 ... y-vp248qgl

Even though this monitor has an IPS panel (only pro is viewing angle i believe), it is not as good as the Acer VP248GQL (has a TN Panel). Was able to instantaneously see the difference side by side (with better refresh rate and color reproduction, and darker images/ backgrounds look really better on Acer VP248GQL). Folks, this is my real time experience.
Also you can have the additional Swivel, Tilt, Pivot/ Rotate and Height adjust (which is by far the most used i think) features to adjust the monitor as per your need.

You can keep a watch and see, if the VP248GQL comes on sale again; and preferably grab it with a coupon. If you need one urgently, yeah grab this one with the 71465 coupon (10 off 100+ order)
